Hi.
I am using installaware 9 to install my application, in a Web Deploy configuration.
Now when I try to run a new version of the installer, On XP everything works fine.
When I try to install it on vista the most strange thing happens - I get a pop-up saying "This application has failed to start because mia.lib was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

BUT the application itself does install and does run!!

I searched the forum and saw that this error is mentioned, but what other people wrote does not reflect exactly my problem.

Had a similar problem and found out it was system restore that caused the issue. Had to delete the cached installation files and then it worked fine. You can actually get IA to do that for you if you know your product and revision codes and do a couple of monkey rigs.

To be on the safe side I also always set Set 64 Bit Mode to Win32 so temp files,folders registry entries are found correctly on 64 Bit versions of the OS.
