Required Skills
• Understanding of best practices in application packaging & deployment
• Good understanding of various MS Windows Operating Systems (Win2K, XP, Vista)
• Good knowledge of Windows file system & registries and application design principles
• Extensive experience utilizing the Wise Package Studio toolset
• Proficiency in implementing Wise Package Studio, implementing application packaging, workflow implementation, and the technical packaging of applications
• Prior hands on experience in application packaging & deployment tools - Install Shield, SMS, WSUS, Patchlink etc
• Good scripting knowledge
• Good understanding of ITIL frame work
• Problem solving approach
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Job Description
• Packaging applications in MSI format using Wise Package Studio and Install shield and deployment
• Working independently in testing application packages
• Assist with application deployments
• Repackaging of application using Wise Package Studio
• Analyzing legacy setups and repackaging them
• Creating upgrades for older versions of software
• Ensuring package complies with all client’s norms & standards
• Ensuring consistent & reliable installation of the software applications
• Carrying-out activities like software virtualization, patch management and defining process for application deployment
• Carrying-out technical review & assessment of applications
• Supporting and troubleshooting technical issues
• Ensuring process and SLA adherence
• Maintaining documentation on all work related to application packaging
• Gather application & department requirements, specifications, vendor contacts and source files
• Document application installation process
• Should be willing to work in EST or UK shifts

Experience
• 3-5 years in the area of application packaging tools, related technologies and processes
• Prior experience in utilizing the Wise Package Studio is must
• Knowledge of VB script is must Perl script is desirable
• Prior experience of system administration is desirable
Qualification: Graduate/Post Graduate any
