Requirement Details:
Designation: Sr SCM Analyst
Experience: 5+ yrs
Location: Bangalore
Education: .Any
Essential Experience Profile
• Requires basic knowledge of business operations and systems requirement processes.Relevant experience of 3 to 5 yrs.
• Basic understanding of programming skills
• Exposure to Change/Configuration Management tools and processes shell Scripting in HP-Unix/Sun solaris
• Experience in handling vendor delivery from the SCM perspective.
• Experience in handling End-2-End SCM in a technical and complex environment.
• Experience in evaluating, implementing and rolling out SCM Tools, Build and Release Tools, SCM Best Practices, Process and Procedures
• Strong expertise in the areas of Software Configuration, Build, Release and Change Management and in handling End-2-End Release in a complex environment.
• Technical competent in configuration management tools, process, procedures, principles.
• Administration of configuration management tools like CVS, Subversion, PVCS, Clear case, etc
• Development of automated scripts and continuous integration using ANT/MAVEN for JAVA/J2EE based applications.
• Good Team Player in handling various tasks within a complex environment.
• Software development experience, including a comprehensive understanding of project life cycle & methodology with an emphasis on the application development segment
Personal qualities:
• Good capabilities for attention to detail.Interpersonal skills to work well as a team with all team members to coordinate Configuration Management.
• Good problem solving skills
• Good understanding of business procedures and the supporting IT processes
• Good understanding of system development lifecycle
• Good understanding of change management process
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Good relationship building and coordination skills
Desired Experience Profile
• Prior experience working on a platform configuration management would be an advantage.
• Prior experience in setting up the configuration management, process and procedures for new teams would be an advantage.
• Prior experience in handling 3rd party deliverables and setting up the required process and procedures would be an advantage.
• Prior experience in handling multisite configuration management would be an advantage.
