Essential skills include:-
Strong experience in Unix Shell scripting languages.
Strong Linux (RedHat, SUSE) experience.
Experience on deployment of J2EE applications on Jboss/WebSphere
Experience working with Ant and with Maven and associated products to perform J2EE software builds required.
Experience in Subversion and/or CVS
Experience in Continuous integration tools like CuriseControl/Hudson/Bamboo
Work with Operating System configurations & packaging.
An understanding of how operating system configurations can impact software

Desirable skills include:-
Exposure to AGILE environment
Experience of multiple parallel projects
