We have an Opening with Wipro BPO for the following requirement
Job : Build and Release Management
Location : Bangalore
Role : Jr. Build and Release Engineer
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Support code and configuration management.
• Administer Subversion in Linux environment
• Create and maintain build, deployment and roll back scripts / tools.
• Execute scheduled application builds and deployments in QA environments
• Co-Ordinate with deployment team to promote the changes to various production Environments.
• Perform release management activities
• Perform Configuration and Release audit.
• Provide support for build and deployment automation.
• Customization of open source tools like Bugzilla…etc
• Implement Configuration, Change and Release management process across all the projects
CRITICAL SKILLS REQUIRED :

• Subversion administration experience
• Build environment setup using ANT, Maven, Continuum and Cruise control
• PERL, Shell and Python scripting experience
• Bugzilla customization experience
• Capable of handling multiple projects build and release management activity
• Should be able bring SCM best practices across all the projects.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION :

• 3-5 years technical background and 2+ years directly related SCM
• 3+ years of experience in Build, Release & Development
• 2+ yrs of experience on Unix Shell Scripting, ANT and PERL
• 1 yr of experience in handling Maven, Continuum, Archiva and Cruise Control
• 2yrs of experience in Red Hat Linux administration
• Minimum 1 year of experience in handling complex branching and merging issues.
• Knowledge about integrating Quality tools in Build scripts
• Knowledge about Integrating Bugzilla with Subversion
• Knowledge about Continuous Integration
