What about UPGRADING an existing instance.

I took an initial stab at it… and it spewed all kinds of errors about not being able to connect to the MySQL database socket. However the DB on CentOS/RHEL7 is mariadb… and I really don’t want to go digging around in their code.

Never Mind… It was squealing because I’d put sudoers information in /etc/sudoers.d/99_nagios and then the upgrade comes along and added its stuff into /etc/sudoers. Once the ‘new’ entries were removed the upgrade completed successfully.
