In most programming languages (such as C++ and Java), you may use a number of data types for variables. We employ eight different types of data in PHP to create our variables. Below is a brief explanation of the various categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/image.slidesharecdn.com\/php-141120010751-conversion-gate01\/95\/basic-of-php-36-638.jpg?cb=1416445811\" alt=\"Basic of PHP\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Integers<\/strong>\u00a0\u2212 There are whole numbers, including 4195, without a decimal point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Doubles<\/strong>\u00a0\u2212\u00a0Floating points are numbers such as 3.14159 or 49.1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Booleans<\/strong>\u00a0\u2212 Have either true or false only two possible values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NULL<\/strong>\u00a0\u2212 It has only one value: NULL, is a special kind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Strings<\/strong>\u00a0\u2212 There are character strings, such as \u2018PHP supports string operations.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Arrays<\/strong>\u00a0\u2212 Collections of other values are called and indexed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Objects<\/strong>\u00a0\u2212 There are instances of programming classes that can package other class-specific values and functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Resources<\/strong>\u00a0\u2212\u00a0Special variables provide access to external PHP tools (such as database connections).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is Data Types?
