Some of the examples are given below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>JBoss<\/li><li>Weblogic<\/li><li>Websphere<\/li><li>Glassfish<\/li><li>Apache Geronimo<\/li><li>Oracle OC4J<\/li><li>Sun GLassFish Enterprise Server<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;What is the purpose of application server?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An <strong>application server<\/strong> enables&nbsp;a server to generate a dynamic, customized response to a client request. An application server is a Java\u2122 Virtual Machine (JVM) that runs user applications. The application server collaborates with the web server to return a dynamic, customized response to a client request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does application server work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Application server usually work in concert with a web server.
