Jenkins

Namit created the topic: Jenkins Directory Structure on LINUX Box
When we do installation of Jenkins on WINDOWS then we got some directory structures and files like logs, nodes, jobs, config etc and we can easily find out these structure on our machines.
My question is: When we install Jenkins on LINUX machine, does this installation create any kind of directory structure over there? If yes, then how can i find those paths? Please help me in that.

Depends on the version of Linux, the location can be different….

If you have installed using apt or yum, The easiest way to find out by looking at the “jenkins” files under /etc/init.d.

Bascallly, this will lead you to /etc/sysconfig/jenkins, where you can find the JENKINS_HOME and thats where the expected files and directly, you will see.

If jenkins is running, you can also run > ps -eaf | grep -i jenkins and look for JENKINS_HOME
.
